Q. What is the Fraternal Order of Police?
A. The Fraternal Order of Police is the world's largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers, with more than 324,000 members in more than 2,100 lodges. The FOP is the voice of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. The organization is committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those we serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation. No one knows the dangers and the difficulties faced by today's police officers better than another officer, and no one knows police officers better than the FOP.
Q. Am I eligible to join the Fraternal Order of Police?
A. If you are a regularly appointed or elected and full-time employed law enforcement officer of the United States, any state or political subdivision thereof, or any agency, then you can become an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Full-time Waterways and Wildlife Conservation Officers are represented and comprise Conservation Police Officers Lodge 114.
Q. I want to support the lodge, but I don't qualify for an active membership?
A. There are three classes of associate memberships: Honorary Associate Member, Deputy Associate Member (PFBC and PGC Deputies are eligible to join as Deputy Associate Members) and Associate Member.
Q. Why would I consider joining the FOP Conservation Officers' Lodge # 114 as an Associate Member?
A. Your financial support helps Lodge 114 further the standing of both PGC and PFBC Conservation Officers and the profession.
