Section 304 (b) currently reads: Status. –This Title does not change the status of Waterways Conservation Officers for the purpose of the act of July 23, 1970 (P.L. 563, No. 195) known as the “Public Employee Relations Act,” or cause Waterways Conservation Officers to be consider Policemen for the proposes of the Act of June 24, 1968 (P.L 237, No. 111) referred to as the Policemen and Firemen Collective Bargaining Act.
2) The inclusion of both the PGC and PFBC Officers in the Heart and Lung Act of June 28, 1935 (PL 477 No 193) referred to as the Enforcement Officer Disability Benefit Law HB 515.
3) The amendment of the State Employees' Retirement Code to include Wildlife Conservations Officers of the Pennsylvania Game Commission as enforcement officers under Title 71 with HB 2102.
4) Help to correct the officer assault sections of Title 34 and Title 30. A change to these titles would make it an equal crime to assault a Conservation Officer as it is any other enforcement officer in the Commonwealth HB1417.
